The Story of Drifting and Driftskool's Mission

Driftskool has been created by Drift UK Ltd to teach the art of drifting and car control, it can be taught from beginner to professional level. This will give you entrance into one of the fastest growing motor sports ever. We are the foundation for the D1 GB national series supplying and spotting new talent for a possible rise into the professional series and therefore qualified to assess and classify drivers.

The sport originated in Japan and has been rising in popularity over the last 15 years. The sport of drifting is now growing in popularity in the United Kingdom with the entry of the D1 Grand Prix exhibition match at Silverstone on October 2nd 2005.

Driftskool's mission is to give the sport enthusiasts a safe and legal place to train and practice building the skill and interest level of drifters in the United Kingdom. It is our intention to use motor sport venues and to try and capture the community spirit of the japanese way of drifting.

The D1 Corporation who run the D1 Grand Prix series in Japan are supporting Driftskool's methods of introducing people to the sport and training in a professional manner. This will give us the opportunity to compete against the D1 champions in the future. Driftskool is part of drift UK ltd Mission to cover all aspects of training from beginner to possible champion.
